The Home Ranch opened in 1980 and offers dude ranch vacations fall, winter and summer. During the summer families can horseback ride, hike, fish and enjoy the western hospitality of the Elk River Valley.
As the snow begins to fall and accumulate on the valley floor, we begin grooming 30km of trail for skate and classic skiing and snowshoeing . We also continue to offer horseback riding.
|Open:||We offer week long (Sunday to Sunday) family summer vacations from mid June through Labor Day.

After the colors change and the air becomes crisper we will begin offering three night stays and the opportunity for small groups to have a secluded mountain retreat.
Our winter season begins in mid December and continues through the end of March. During the holiday season we ask for a 5 night stay, the remainder of the winter folks can join us for two nights.

|Lodging:||The Ranch's accommodations include eight private cabins and six rooms in the main lodge. Our cabins vary in size from a one-bedroom studio to a three-bedroom, three-bath, "Home on the Ranch." Whether cabin or lodge room, each is appointed with antiques, Indian rugs, cozy down comforters, wood-burning stoves, coffee pots, and some with lofts perfect for the kids. Each cabin has its own front porch and a hot tub to work out the kinks from a long day on the trail. To make you feel even more at home, you will find a small refrigerator stocked with coffee, crackers and cheese for an afternoon snack (if you haven't already filled up on the chocolate chip cookies in the bottomless cookie jar). We also provide hair dryers and robes.
We have cabin guests and we have lodge guests. Some prefer the charm of the lodge with its proximity to the pool, hot tub, laundry facilities and dining room. Others prefer the seclusion and comfort of their own cabin. They all feel at home. The Home Ranch is a great way to experience a true dude ranch vacation.
|Kids' Program:||The Home Ranch cannot accept children under the age of 6 during our summer season.
We do allow children under the age of 6 during the holiday season, but do ask that they stay in one of our cabins.
|Food/Dining:||The Home Ranch dining room combines the style and warmth of western ranch tradition with the quality and charm of Relais & Chateaux. Our meals are served family style at long oak tables. Our ranch becomes a community each week and sharing our incredible meals and experiences together is part of the tradition.
